<strong>Senior Architectural Technologist</strong>

TBD Architecture + Urban Planning is searching for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This position requires an organized individual with a minimum of ten years of experience who is equally capable of working independently or providing project team leadership on large-scale projects. Preferred is a candidate with a multi-faceted background demonstrating familiarity with all technical aspects of architectural design. This will include a thorough understanding of building code and building construction through experience in a variety of project typologies with a special focus on construction administration and contract documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Architectural Technology
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract administration and project management
  • Advanced Skill Set in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Project
  • Experience with Canadian building codes, standards, and bylaws
  • Exceptional communication ability (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of technical detailing and construction processes
  • Understanding of building construction and the value of effective technical documents
  • Ability to utilize/knowledge of BIM coordination tools with consultants is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

  • Experience in specification writing, construction management, team leading, and consultant coordination would be of benefit
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch-up is an asset
  • LEED or other sustainable accreditation
<strong>Junior / Intermediate Architectural Technologist</strong>

TBD Architecture + Urban Planning is searching for a Junior or Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will join our design group to prepare and coordinate contract documents and support projects through to contract administration and completion.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Architectural Technology
  • Up to 8 years related experience as an Architectural Technologist in Canada
  • Must possess strong AutoCAD and Revit skills
  • Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Sketch-up an asset
  • Experience with Canadian building codes, standards and bylaws
  • Skill Set in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of technical detailing and construction processes
  • Understanding of building construction and the value of effective technical documents
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse team members as well as work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • LEED accreditation is also a plus
<strong>Architect Graduate /</strong> <strong>Intern Architect</strong>

TBD Architecture + Urban Planning is searching for recent graduates from a University accredited professional degree architectural program of studies. Intern Architects with less than 5 years’ experience may also apply. The successful candidate will become part of our design team and develop preliminary drawings and rough sketches, prepare design drawings, research innovative building types and materials and explore leading edge systems. Liaise with Senior Architects and Engineers as required. We are looking for a prodigy to join our design team and become part of the transformation of the Edmonton skyline.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduated from a University Program or Technology School with an accredited degree in an architectural program of studies.
  • 1 to 5 years experience in an Architectural Office is an asset for Intern Architects
  • Registration as an Intern Architect with the AAA will be considered an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Must possess strong AutoCAD and/or Revit skills
  • Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketch-up an asset
  • Experience creating project visualization is an asset
  • Advanced Skill Set in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse team members as well as work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in preparing documents and communication of information during construction phases will be considered an asset
  • LEED accreditation is also a plus
<strong>Architect</strong>

TBD Architecture + Urban Planning is searching for graduates from a University accredited professional degree Architectural program of studies. Architects with less than 5 years of experience may also apply. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our design and delivery team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduated from a University Program or Technology School with an accredited degree in an architectural program of studies
  • 5-10 years experience in an Architectural Office is an asset
  • Attention to detail and strong design skills
  • Must possess strong drawing skills
  • Advanced Skill Set in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse team members as well as work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
